The Challenge:
Dror Engelstein’s underground winery is a reflection of his personal journey—one of perseverance, passion, and the spirit of the underdog. After years of working in large wineries, he set out to create something of his own, a boutique winery that embodies his independent vision. The challenge was to translate this deeply personal story into a brand identity that feels both bold and understated, while also incorporating the special bond he shares with his beloved dog, a constant companion in his winemaking journey.
The Solution:
I designed a clean, striking visual identity that speaks to the essence of Dror’s story. The black silhouette-based logo is minimalist yet powerful, echoing the underground nature of the winery and his quiet determination. The dog’s presence in the logo subtly weaves in his personal connection, making the design uniquely his. The labels maintain this aesthetic—stripped down, sophisticated, and deeply personal—allowing the wine itself to take center stage. The result is branding that feels authentic, refined, and true to the spirit of an underdog who carved his own path.
